COVID-19 is impacting everyone and every aspect of our daily lives: our social interactions, family life, communities, and, of course, how we work.<\/p>

At MiHCM, we are working to do our part by ensuring the safety of our employees while extending our service to valued customers and partners across South Asia and South East Asia (MiHCM’s Protective Measures Against the New Coronavirus<\/a>).\u00a0<\/p>

We have shifted our employees to working online to protect the health and well-being of the communities in which we operate while continuing our business consistently.<\/p>

This is how we enabled our entire regional workforce to shift to an online working model during this outbreak!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Shift!<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

On 13<\/span>th<\/span> March<\/span>, the management of\u00a0<\/span>MiHCM<\/span>\u00a0decided to switch <\/span>the entire workforce, including teams in Sri Lanka and Malaysia<\/span> to work from home with <\/span>immediate<\/span> effect.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

All our Sri Lankan employees in regional bases were brought back to Sri Lanka\u00a0<\/span>on time<\/span>,<\/span> and from Monday 16th March,\u00a0<\/span>the <\/span>entire company switched to work<\/span>ing<\/span> from home.<\/span><\/p>

How <\/span>did <\/span>we<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>shift our operation to an absolute <\/span>online mode overnight<\/span>?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Back in 2017, <\/span>we <\/span>communicated to all our <\/span>employees that <\/span>MiHCM would\u00a0<\/span>become a<\/span> completely<\/span> digital company <\/span>by 2020 by digitising all internal system<\/span>s used by each team<\/span>; thus, we <\/span>switch<\/span>ed<\/span> all <\/span>on-premise<\/span> operational systems to the cloud and aggressively adopted cloud technology.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

We as a company advocate Digital Transformation and<\/span>\u00a0were <\/span>one of the first in the world to release a true cloud <\/span>D<\/span>igital HR solution (<\/span>www.mihcm.com<\/span><\/a>) back in 2017.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

MiHCM<\/span>\u2019s aspiration in this age is to become an\u00a0<\/span>advocate to our global <\/span>clientele on<\/span> becom<\/span>ing a<\/span> digital <\/span>workplace and share\u00a0<\/span>our vision towards the<\/span>\u00a0FUTURE OF WORK<\/span>. This aspiration keeps demanding us to <\/span>make sure we <\/span>champion what we advocate<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Day-to-day Communication and <\/span><\/b>Collaboration <\/span><\/b><\/h4>

We at <\/span>MiHCM<\/span> use a range of tools and platforms for communication, collaboration, <\/span><\/span>HR, <\/span><\/span>project management, support services<\/span><\/span>, partner management, finance and sales and marketing<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/p>

The most <\/span><\/span>essential tool<\/span><\/span>s<\/span><\/span> we use<\/span><\/span> across our company<\/span><\/span> are<\/span><\/span>\u00a0our very own <\/span>MiHCM<\/span> <\/span>digital HR <\/span><\/span>platform to manage our HR needs and Microsoft Teams for effective communication and collaboration. <\/span><\/span><\/p>

Every department at\u00a0<\/span>MiHCM<\/span>\u00a0heavily uses Microsoft Teams to create channels<\/span><\/span> for internal collaboration<\/span><\/span>, organise meetings<\/span><\/span> with clients and partners<\/span><\/span>, knowledge sharing\/brainstorming sessions, and even <\/span><\/span>deliver product demonstrations to prospective clients in the region<\/span><\/span>. <\/span><\/span>We also use <\/span><\/span>Microsoft<\/span><\/span> Outlook to communicate with our clients and partners. <\/span><\/span><\/p>

Furthermore, all<\/span><\/span> our <\/span><\/span>colleagues<\/span><\/span>\u00a0at\u00a0<\/span>MiHCM<\/span> use <\/span><\/span>MiHCM<\/span> HR on Microsoft Teams<\/span><\/span> to check-in\/out, apply for leave, check leave balance<\/span><\/span>, <\/span><\/span>submit timesheets on work they accomplished, <\/span><\/span>view pay slips<\/span><\/span> and reach out to our HR <\/span><\/span>for various HR service requests.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>

Besides Microsoft Teams, we use SharePoint to store, share, and preview <\/span><\/span>digital<\/span><\/span> documents and\u00a0<\/span><\/span>content of <\/span>MiHCM<\/span><\/span>, letting our teams access content from anywhere anytime.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

While we work from home, we ensure to sustain the commitment given to our clients. <\/span>Our clientele spans<\/span> across South Asia and South East Asia. We use many<\/span> platforms to ensure consistent <\/span>project management <\/span>to<\/span> deliver every <\/span>project milestone<\/span> on time. <\/span><\/p>

Our Project Managers and their teams use Microsoft Projects to monitor the <\/span>progress<\/span> of project timeline<\/span>s<\/span> and milestones. <\/span>The projects team also uses<\/span>\u00a0the\u00a0Asana<\/span> work management tool<\/span> to <\/span>continuous<\/span>ly collaborate<\/span> with our product engineering front <\/span>and share\/follow up milestones associated with <\/span>product<\/span> engineering<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The usage of these tools has empowered our projects team to <\/span>coordinate project requirements with internal teams and complete implementation on time.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

MiHCM<\/span> receives our clients\u2019 feedback, complaints, and <\/span><\/span>support tickets<\/span><\/span> to the <\/span>MiHCM<\/span> Helpdesk. Our team uses the Freshdesk platform <\/span><\/span>to <\/span><\/span>draw<\/span><\/span> these <\/span><\/span>support tickets<\/span><\/span> from the <\/span>MiHCM<\/span> helpdesk, resolve each complaint, and communicate the <\/span><\/span>solution<\/span><\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>

Freshdesk has enabled our support team to respond <\/span><\/span>to clients and solve their issues on the dot, <\/span><\/span>complying well with the <\/span>MiHCM<\/span> SLA.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Our finance and business operations team is geared to work remotely as they use many cloud applications including the cloud-based ERP<\/span> (Bileeta Entution Cloud ERP)<\/span>, invoicing system<\/span> (MiHCM Billing Platform),<\/span> and even a few <\/span>online <\/span>platforms to manage local statutory payments.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Their tasks including the dispatch of <\/span>digital<\/span> invoices to clients, receiving online payments from clients, and processing statutory payments are completely managed through these cloud systems, setting the pace for uninterrupted remote work.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Additionally, <\/span>this team uses\u00a0<\/span>a<\/span> homegrown <\/span>online<\/span> partner portal to host legal and marketing collateral <\/span>for partners.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

This portal<\/span> is also used to create and manage sales funnels of every partner, enabling our team to monitor the sales performance of each partner\u00a0<\/span>continuously<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

MiHCM Marketing works with a focus on furnishing\u00a0<\/span>product information and HR industry insights and trends <\/span>to a global clientele. Therefore, the product website and other marketing literature have been localised<\/span> to the markets we operate in<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

These localised web pages <\/span>are<\/span> designed<\/span> on<\/span> WordPress<\/span>\u00a0giving us the flexibility to reach the backend of sites, refresh content and alter and improve SEO <\/span>tactics while <\/span>working from home.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Our Sales team benefits from<\/span> Hubspot –\u00a0<\/span>our Cloud CRM tool <\/span>to create and manage their sales funnel and <\/span>draw<\/span> sales projections<\/span> for the future. <\/span><\/p>

We are steadfast in our mission to improve the collaboration and engagement of our workforce, and we have success<\/span>fully embraced the new model of work<\/span> during this <\/span>chaotic<\/span> period<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>
