Rejecting optional features does not prevent you from browsing or contacting us.
Essential cookies
The mihcm-consent-v1 cookie records your choices, the policy version and the time you saved them for 180 days. We ask again after it expires. Cookies for sign-in, protected content and security are used when those features are needed. They cannot be disabled through this banner.
Preferences
If you allow preferences, mihcm-locale-override-v2 remembers a country you explicitly select for 3 hours. Browsing does not extend that time. Country-prompt dismissals may be remembered in mihcm_country_confirmed for 7 days and mihcm-lk-gateway-dismissed for 1 day where used. Rejecting or withdrawing preferences removes these cookies and the legacy country preference stored by this site. You can still select a country and browse its URL without saving a preference.
Analytics
If you allow analytics, our website records article views, reads, share-button clicks and calls to action as aggregate counters in our own database. This feature does not create a visitor identifier cookie. We block these events before consent and stop sending them when you withdraw it. Withdrawing consent does not remove previously accumulated aggregate counts.
Google Tag Manager and advertising
Google Tag Manager loads once you allow analytics, and may load by default for aggregate measurement in some markets before a choice; advertising tags within it still require your separate consent to activate. Tags configured in our container may measure visits and advertising effectiveness or personalise ads. Google consent signals reflect your choices before the container loads. Existing saved choices do not automatically opt you into advertising. Withdrawing either category reloads the page to stop loaded tags; withdrawing analytics or advertising also removes accessible first-party Google cookies for that category. Embedded videos
YouTube videos load only when you allow embedded videos. Loading a video connects your browser to YouTube, which receives information such as your IP address and may use its own storage. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced embed domain. See Google's privacy policy. Turning this category off removes embedded players; it cannot delete cookies set on a different provider's domain. You can remove those using your browser settings.
Browser controls
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser. If our consent cookie is deleted, blocked or expires, optional features default to off and the banner will appear again. External websites you open through links have their own policies.
